Leadership in 3D is based on over 20 years of research and teaching, and it represents a broader, more comprehensive approach to leadership. Under the premise that there is no single, right way to lead, the book offers an exploration across the many dimensions of leadership. Essentially, it offers a ‘one-stop shop’ combining theoretical and practical advice to individuals either at the beginning of their leadership journey or looking to become more effective in their leadership style.
The notion of Leadership in 3D is a play on words that can take several different meanings. The initial concept comes from a workshop Randazzo developed many years ago, where the 3Ds refer to being Different, Dependable, and Dynamic. These concepts are explored as part of the theoretical dimension in Chapter 3. After the theoretical discussion, Randazzo focuses on several skills that effective leaders more often rely upon throughout their journey. Chapter 4 examines the internal dimension of leadership and discusses several inward-facing skills such as knowing yourself and how to handle failure. In Chapter 5, Randazzo presents the external dimension of leadership and focuses on several outward-facing skills such as public speaking, conflict management, and keeping people motivated.
The last chapter brings everything together, again offering the reminder that there is no single, right way to lead. It then discusses some final aspects of leadership such as imposter syndrome and the importance of maintaining a good balance. Throughout the book, Randazzo offers insights from his own personal journey as well as the experiences of others. This combination of a theoretical discussion with a practical, skills-based focus offers a unique approach that will help all individuals become more effective leaders.

This presentation focuses on building fundamental leadership development skills that everyone can use to become effective change agents in their organizations. It begins with a discussion of how leadership is a continuum upon which all individuals can improve and positively change or affect their corner of the world. We then discuss the 3-D’s of leadership – Different, Dependable, and Dynamic – and how to develop these skills within ourselves. Finally, we focus on some additional aspects of leading others and making change happen that will help us become more effective leaders in our sphere of influence.

As individuals continue their journeys towards becoming more effective leaders it can be easy to forget that everything starts with I. We are the ones responsible for making connections with others, developing goals and visions, and inspiring our teams. This workshop focuses on three aspects of ‘I’ that will sustain our efforts: Authenticity, Vulnerability, and Anxiety/Mental Health. During the workshop we will identify strategies and tips to address each aspect as we focus on becoming visionary leaders.

This presentation explores some fundamental conflict resolution skills and strategies. Initially, we focus on the typical responses individuals adopt when conflict erupts. Then we turn to skills and approaches that one can adopt to resolve specific conflicts. Finally, we discuss specific long-term strategies that will help minimize the potentially negative consequences of conflict.

Survey after survey reveals that public speaking is the most frequently identified action that frightens individuals. People would prefer to get hit by a bus than speak in front of an audience. This presentation helps calm those fears by providing fundamental skills for effective speaking and dynamic presentations. It begins by exploring the tone colors in everyone’s voices and develops strategies for bringing out these colors during speeches. We then focus on developing dynamic presentations that capture an audience’s attention and delivers an inspirational message to the listeners.

Organizations often encounter situations where some individuals participate less than others. This can often cause problems because the leaders of those organizations need all individuals to remain engaged in order to accomplish specific goals. This presentation explores some of the primary reasons why people do not participate more and offers strategies for keeping individuals motivated and moving the organization forward in a more positive direction.

Pricing exists on a tiered system that depends on the estimated size of the group/audience.
Pricing for organizations requesting more than 2 hours of content are possible and will be determined on a case by case basis.
For locations more than 100 miles away from my home in Columbia, SC, and/or events that require overnight accommodations, I ask for additional travel expenses to be covered. These can be discussed at the time of reserving a date.
Reserving a date for a presentation incurs a significant commitment on the part of the speaker. In the event that the booking organization must cancel the event, a cancellation fee of 20% may be assessed.
